Cultivation of the Global Language

Outpouring hearts and minds through Literacy and English proficiency

In processing both spoken and written language, the human brain employs a code to represent linguistic information.  Students with limited English proficiency often continue to experience difficulties with reading, even after mastering the basic skills needed for decoding English text. Limited vocabulary and lack of background knowledge contribute to difficulties with reading comprehension, which often persist into the college years.

Language is now considered a skill, in fact, big companies, both here and abroad, are now looking for good English communication skills among potential employees.  Whenever we write or speak, we use it; whenever we make a promise or ask a question, we use it. In the statement of other ways of knowing are controlled by language. It is more sensible to say language gives some support or limit to our reason, perception and emotion. It influence our thinking and decision making.
Some of the students are good in written communication but not that good when it comes to oral because some are shy to let others hear their English, or afraid to execute a wrong grammars or bad sentence.  However, we have to understand that English literacy and proficiency can help us a lot to express ourselves better to anyone especially for foreign people as this is the world’s international language.

English language learners need opportunities to build background knowledge. Pre-reading activities can be used to identify gaps in students' knowledge and to introduce new concepts and vocabulary.

The finding show that the majority of students believed that English proficiency is really important especially for the job opportunities whether locally or globally. It was also concluded that studying, practising, learning new vocabularies and reading English literatures are the major factors for students to have ability in English proficiency. It is also recommended that one must be determined to learn the English language and one must use to speak verbally the English language.

Totally EQUAL... Without DISCRIMINATION!!!

EQUAL RIGHTS, EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES

Do you think that every person deserves an equal rights and opportunities?  For instance, does a shoplifter continue to have a right to liberty, or is society justified in taking that right away by throwing the person in jail. If you believe that the latter is true, then you do not believe that all people deserve equal rights. Likewise, unless you believe that an industrialist who sets up his own company that provides employment for over a hundred workers is just as admirable as a homeless person who has destroyed his mind, then you do not believe that all people deserve equal respect, either.
How about this, do you believe that there is an equal right and opportunity for men and women?  For example, if a woman and a man apply for the same job, even though the woman has the better job skills and everything it takes to do the job, often times the job goes to the man because men look down on women, saying a woman is not fit to hold that particular job. When good and right jobs are offered to women, everyone will know that they can think of ways to improve the work place. They can work very hard but too often men always have it in their minds that women are not able to do anything. It is a proven fact this days that the work a man can do, a woman can also do. But often women are denied with job opportunities. I propose that both women and men be given the rightful opportunity to work.
If women are given equal rights and equal opportunities by the government and our society, they will then be able to contribute toward the progress of all. We must therefore know, that if you educate a man, you educate one person but if you educate a woman, you educate the whole nation.
I believe that women should have the same rights as men because God made men and women with no differences between them except in looks. I even think sometimes that women act smarter than men in many ways. Women also can be great leaders, whether presidents, school principals, or leaders of companies. In my opinion, women should be treated the same way men are treated.
Let us promote in our political and society forums the benefits of equal rights and opportunities for women because with the collaboration of both men and women development and progress will come about for our entire nation."

Just Blog...

Reflection
The 2nd quarter is almost over and our periodical test is approaching. Another part of the subject about blogging was discussed and taught to us.
Basic HTML is not hard to learn. Learning HTML is probably the single most important thing you’ll never do if you want to create your own personal web site. You must learn HTML is design good pages because it is the language in which web site on the Internet are based on.
Web sites are a great way to show off something in your life. Basic HTML will let you show the world whatever it is you want to show them on your web site are just a few of the things you can do when you learn basic HTML. To learn basic HTML, you must keep in mind that it’s simply a series of letters that are abbreviations of what they actually stand for.
One important thing to remember, while you learn basic HTML, is that on a web page, the HTML tags must come in a certain order and most HTML tags must have a start and end tag for the browser to recognize the command. And end tag is just simply the same as the start tag except that it starts with the / symbol. Learn basic HTML the right way and remember that the tags must come in a certain order.

Sometimes, it’s still challenging to create blogs. However, I find time to think and search on how to do it correctly. For upcoming topics about HTML blog, I will focus more on the discussion and on my teacher’s instruction in order to avoid any mistake or errors.

Most Wanted Event

Intramurals
The purpose of School Intramurals is to provide all students an opportunity for participation in recreational sports. Intramural sports are one of the most popular activities on campus life. It provides friendly competition, exercise, recreation, and is an enjoyable outlet for all the participants.
One of the great sports during Intramurals is Volleyball. And what makes volleyball so great is that it doesn’t require a special playing field. You can play anywhere you please with the proper amount of room. The most conventional place for playing volleyball is at the beach. However, it is mostly enjoyed by students during School Intramurals. Many Sports you may be familiar with have or certain playing field to bowling has a bowling alley. Most require a decent amount of physical effort in order to participate in. some sports use lots of equipment to play and others require none. There are even sports that many people cannot play because they can’t afford it. But, out of all sports that I could choose as one of my favorites, I would have to say volleyball is one of the best.
Regular exercise is crucial for your health because it helps keep your heart in good working order, as well as helping to prevent illnesses and diseases like cardiovascular disease, cancer and type 2 diabetes. Acting as part of a team requires that you learn good sportsmanship and how to work well with others. Playing on a team also teaches the values of hand work and fairness.
The emphasis of School Intramurals is on fun, not competition. Winning is not the primary goal but rather, the opportunity to exercise, develop leadership skills, experience camaraderie, meet new people, and learn a lifelong activity. These are the greatest rewards of intramural sports. Game/Sport is a competitive and physically demanding play that depends on how will you accept defeat, as well as how graciously you win.

School Idol!

My TEACHER, My HERO
Everyone can be a hero, not necessarily a person who can do great things and save lives but anyone can be a hero on his own simple way. A hero is a person admired for their courage, integrity, and gratitude. This person puts away self-desires to make others happy in difficult situations or circumstances. One of the heroes who have determination, patience, courage, and dedication to work that can really inspire people especially students like me are Teachers.
When talking about our own teachers and mentors, anyone would be glad to thank them, especially those who are successful and those who learned a great lesson from them. Our instructors looks out for us and teaches us lessons about life and lessons that we need to know. They also mold us to be a good person, to be polite, courteous, brave and respectful especially to the elderly. Our teachers are the one who thought me to be strong in times of failures and never give up on reaching my goals and ambitions. They add new dimensions to my already layered personality. Defining my aspirations and supplying the foundations, upon which I construct my future.
I know that being a teacher is really hard because they always meet people with different faces and attitudes that can really make them tired. However, this is a challenge for them. Even if our teachers re already exhausted, they still give their leisure time to us just to have conversation and tell some stories on many things so we can learn from those experiences.
Teaching as said by many scholars is the noblest of all professions. Considering this view point, one can likely say that no other calling is capable of existence with regards to the essential role played by the teachers in molding and shaping the minds of youths.
Teachers, you’re the reason behind our success. Because of you every year a new generation is build, a generation which is ready for the experience of life and the experience of being responsible. We salute you with your great contribution for building a better future of mankind.

We are Responsible for It>>>

Immunation: Arming Science Clubbers with Healthful Defenses toward National Wellness

What does Immunation means? As per my knowledge there is no such word as Immunation but based on my research, I have discovered that this is a combination of Ammunition and Immunization which brought to an idea of the word “Defense”
Our world was created as a paradise with fruit bearing trees, friendly animals and peaceful place to live in. Illnesses and deceases are low, calamities are limited and there is an abundance of food. People before have a long life and they’ve reached hundreds of years. However, as man’s population grow and each man has his own ambition and dreams, some people was overruled by greediness and begun to run our planet. The modern technologies brought us to a high level of living but there are some disadvantages. Deforestation had cause floods. Pollution is everywhere, in the air, lands and waters. Garbage is all around.
And because of this carelessness, we didn’t notice that these brought to a heavier challenge to human kind: Diseases. We would like our science clubbers to be armed or to be immune against diseases through imparting knowledge about different kind of diseases. To teach on how these diseases spread how to prevent it and how to be cured. Our goal is not only the science clubbers that benefit from this knowledge but the whole society and communities thus leading to national wellness. We encouraged all people, young, adult or old ones to realize the value of one’s health. We have to be aware about the different kinds of diseases that may attack us anytime. People must know how to protect himself while conducing various activities and unhealthy eating habits.
All people are steward of our environment because we are all responsible to our own way of living. It is our duty to make the Planet Earth a healthy place for everyone. Let us all help each other to solve the problems arising due to improper use of our natural resources. We have to act now to be fit and away from diseases. Because our HEALTH is our most valuable WEALTH.

Your Always My HERO!

My Greatest Hero

Have you ever thought of what a true hero means? When children say hero, they usually mean a cartoon character like superman, wonder woman and other spectacular mind made creatures that they’ve watch in television. Other people think that a hero is somebody who can do exceptional things if not everything for them. For me, my definition of a hero is someone who inspires, helps the less fortunate and overcomes personal obstacles.
About 7 years ago, we’ve lost the protector and provider of our family, my beloved father. That year was so hard for us and didn’t know how to start a new life without him. Without my dad, everything seemed to fall apart. But for my mom, being a single parent to the family was even harder. Even if she didn’t told us, I felt her true feelings that she needs to sacrifice to be apart from us for our better future. My mom is an overseas Filipino worker until now and the sole breadwinner of our family. I know that she loves and misses us so much and visits us every year to bond with us. She took us to many countless places and I will never forget any of them. My mother is also caring and she encouraged us to do well in school and at home. She always listened to my problems no matter what they are and always there when I needed someone to talk to. She’s the one person in my life that I could trust the most and who understand me well. She advises me of how to solve any problem that I encounter. She keeps telling me not to step down the stairs of life but instead, I have to climb the stairs towards reaching my dreams and goals in life. I won’t be able to make it today if she had never taught me all those lessons of life. My mom loves me ever since she carried me and she always will be for the rest of her life.
I’m very fortunate that my mom is a strong, a brave person and is willing to keep the family together. She is always trying to help others in their time of needs. She’s the best mother that i could ever have. My mother is a wonderful woman and she’s my greatest hero.
